Overall Difficulty: Beginning-Intermediate
This is a great book for bagpipe players looking for music that is easy to read and play. Author Karl L. Walford is a very talented composer whose compositions have been recorded many times over the years. You'll love the cartoons (by Karl) found throughout the book. The music here can be performed by pipes alone, pipes and drums, or any combination of instruments. The Tartan Tribe itself is a performing group consisting of three pipers, an accordionist, bass guitarist, percussionist, and vocalist. Not all of their music is traditional, but it is all enjoyable.
