The title of this piece refers to the countless times Mancini tapped out jazz rhythms at his family's dinner table when he was a young percussion student. As noted on the score, performers must be seated in chairs on a wood floor so the hand claps, leg slaps, foot taps and finger snaps are clearly heard. Two copies of each part are provided to allow for expansion of the basic quartet configuration.
