The optional use of sleigh bells lends a festive spirit to the original introduction and interludes. The tune moves into the bass and lower treble bells in the next section, accompanied by upper treble bell patterns including a variety of techniques. A gentle, rocking motion in 3/4 time provides a contrast in style, concluding with the bouncy feel of the beginning.
