From Bizet's Carmen Suite #2, this setting of the familiar dance theme is scored in D minor and major so the chromatic melody lies exceedingly well for young strings. A mix of legato and staccato bow strokes typify the lead lines, while supporting parts play a good deal of pizzicato for essential contrast. An optional piano part is included with each standard string set.
