What is Eurhythmics? It is the oldest of the modern methods of teaching music, a method in which all musical concepts are taught through movement. Eurhythmics was developed by Emile Jaques-Dalcroze (1865-1950), because “all music begins with a physical motion, therefore the first instrument to be trained is the body.” This video features Robert M. Abramson, the internationally acclaimed teacher of Dalcroze Eurhythmics, giving children and adults their first Eurhythmics lesson, and demonstrating more advanced games with college music majors and faculty.
