Any good piano teacher knows the value of ensemble material for piano students, especially those in the early stage of development. Besides increasing musicality and sensitivity of performance, it also inspires the budding musician by allowing a musical experience of a larger magnitude than they may be able to experience as a soloist. The duets found in this volume were designed with these values in mind. Every effort has been made to provide interesting and varied materials with as much opportunity for musical expression and "top billing" for each performer as possible, no matter who's playing which part.
