The release of this vivid original for percussion septet marks the start of what we hope will be a long, rewarding relationship with composer Mark Howden. Playable in less than three minutes, this piece blends oriental melodies in the mallet parts with complimentary rhythmic figures by non-pitched instruments. Scoring requirements call for woodblock, temple blocks, tambourine, marimba, xylophone, tam-tam/nipple gongs, and chimes.
